Harry Bayston – Crushed

Zine and print package by Sydney based artist, Harry Bayston. Package includes 3 x fold-out, double-sided posters (500x700mm) printed on 55gsm newsprint. Limited edition of 30, hand-numbered and signed by the artist.

Harry Bayston is a Sydney based artist whose expanded painting practice incorporates a blend of abstract mark-making, figurative line work, symbolic imagery and text.

This project reflects on, through a series of personal experiences, the universal feelings of a year where everyone’s plans have fallen by the wayside. In a time where everything feels like a form of failure, through the curation of multiple journal outtakes, Harry comes to terms with and redefines this 'failure', as he rolls with the punches along the way. This is for those who stepped forward and ended up back. This is ‘Crush, Crushing, Crushed — When the world hits you with everything, including the kitchen sink, probably should’ve ducked’.

48 pages, 14.8 x 21cm, softcover, Blind Angles (Sydney).
